I grew up on Doritos, Oreos, Wonder Bread, Kool-aid and Easy Mac.

Vegetables usually came out of a can and were over-cooked. Salads weren’t a regular part of a our diet. We were all trying to do the best we could, and truthfully, we didn’t know what we know now about processed food, clean eating and the long term effects a poor diet has on our body.

Salads are a regular part of our diet today (still working on getting the kids to eat more vegetables), and overall we eat very clean. I’m always intrigued on how healing foods can be for our gut and body, the impacts of what we eat on our moods, emotions, digestion, skin and more.

A good salad is all about having texture, a little bit of sweet, a little bit of savory & lots of flavor. I love experimenting and making my own salad dressings. I recently whipped up a dressing using Brew Doctor Kombucha’s new Harvest flavor. It was super easy and adds extra probiotic to your diet, which benefits your gut!

Harvest cider kombucha salad dressing:

Mix the following ingredients together.
1/4 cup Brew Doctor harvest kombucha
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 tablespoon raw honey
fresh ground salt & pepper.

Make sure to pin this recipe for later and share with anyone you know who loves kombucha.
